Hello! Nancy here from ScrappingoutofControl. It has been so cold lately that I decided to stay home and start putting up my Christmas decorations..Yes I know it’s not even Thanksgiving but I LOVE Christmas!!! So for my project, I decided to make so home decor…First you will need your favorite papers, an empty paper towel roll and an empty ribbon roll. Here I used an old Christmas collection from DCWV.
Cut five strips of 6 by 12 paper. I used my Martha Stewart-around the edge page punch for each strip. I then scored the strips at a half an inch using my Martha Stewart scoring board. After you have cut and scored your strips, glue two strips together. You should have a total of five 6 by 24 strips.Glue the paper towel roll to the ribbon roll..The ribbon roll is the base of your tree. (sorry no photo)
Use a strong adhesive to glue the strips starting from the bottom up. Continue to glue the strips on the paper towel roll. Make sure you over lap the layers. For the final layer, cut a strip of paper 3.5 by 6 inches. glue the ends together and make triangle shaped rosette. Add adhesive to the top of the paper towel roll and add the last layer.
And now the fun part..decorate your tree! I used a snowflake as the tree topper and used Diamond Dust as my snow.
Here is a closer look at my tree.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s Roberts Crafts project. Don’t forget to visit them.
